The SX series pneumatic rotary vane actuators provide reliable and efficient valve automation in a compact, lightweight package. They are suitable for quarter-turn valves such as ball valves, butterfly valves and dampers in a wide range of industrial applications.

The rotary vane design provides high starting and running torque in a small size. As air pressure is applied, three vanes extend to turn the central shaft which is connected to the valve stem. Double-acting models have two opposing air ports to rotate the shaft clockwise or counterclockwise. Spring-return models have an internal spring to rotate the shaft to a fail-safe position when air is released.

Nine base models are available with torque outputs from 1.8 to 1280 N•m. The torque rating depends on the operating pressure – refer to the torque tables for specific values. Air volume and weight also vary by model size.

Actuator dimensions are shown in the outline drawings. Flange drilling patterns mate with standard ISO valve flanges for direct mounting. Rotation direction is reversible.
